I have been moved over the past few
months to reflect and meditate more than usual and in so doing, letting go trying to push that great big River of Life, allowing more of Life to come to me rather than me pursueing Life. These following words of wisdom, and I can't remember who wrote them, flagged up in perfect time to share in my Blog.
"Each moment is a source of joy. Pause, especially if you have lost track of joy, to discover its presence in this moment.
When you are enjoying yourself hold the joy as lightly as a flower.
Don't hunt for joy; it will hide from you if you do.
Accept
no substitutes. By all means do that which you enjoy, but do not expect
external stimulation to provide you with joy. It comes from within.
Be
free of judgement. Every judgement harbours a pain within you. Let
others be as they are; let your focus be on being your own best self.
Your best self is joyful. If you are trying too hard, you'll lose the joy and slide away from your best self.
Bin
beliefs that are not valid under Universal Law. For instance, 'As soon
as I start enjoying myself, someone comes along and spoils it', is not a
Universal Law, but something that happened to you often enough for it
become a working hypothesis for a grumpy martyr lurking within your
character. Love the grumpy martyr, tickle its tummy like an old dog.
Scratch it behind the ears, but don't take it too seriously.
Forgive all. It's a great way of releasing the baggage of the past and travelling light.
Be
free from expectations. So, something didn't turn out the way you
expected or hoped? Find joy in how it did turn out; don't mourn the path
not taken.
Turn to the Sun. Let it speak to your heart. The Sun nurtures the joy within you by breathing into its flame.
Witness the beauty of the Earth".

More about 432Hz and Earth Gong.
SoundTouch Sound Healing and Sound
Meditations relate to "Mathematics of the Universe" to harmonise and
balance your whole being.
The principle sound and vibration in each
SoundTouch session is provided by Planetary Gongs of the Earth (432.Hz),
the Sun and the Moon. The Gong is believed to produce the Universal Sound of Om
and creates "a vast ocean of sound" to still the mind, soothe the
spirit and resonate the chakras. Alongside other instruments and being in
nature in the Sound Lodge, the rejuvenating sound waves in this meditative
experience are healing, harmonising and energising.
It is said that 432Hz vibrates with the universe’s golden mean PHI and unifies the properties of light, time, space, matter, gravity and magnetism with biology, the DNA code, and consciousness. When our atoms and DNA start to resonate in harmony with the spiralling pattern of nature, our sense of connection to nature is said to be magnified. The number 432 is also reflected in ratios of the Sun, Earth, and Moon, as well as the precession of the equinoxes, the Great Pyramid of Egypt, Stonehenge, and many other sacred sites.

spiritual work for the coming age. The seed of the spiritual is found in
the physical. In the heart of the cells, in the spiral of the DNA, is
written the divine story. When scientific research, spiritual practice
and artistic work together, heaven and earth are in resonance"

How 432Hz is inspiring me and the power of silence
An article in Collective Evolution called "Here's why you should convert your music to 432Hz" came just at the right time for me. I am looking to explore new means of engaging people and explaining the benefits of my particular approach of sound meditation with Gongs. Beautifully in perfect synchronicity, whilst playing at a Festival last week, I played solely gongs for an optimal 45 minute immersion in sound followed by the loudest and most profound silence I have ever experienced. There was no need or desire for anyone to talk and we sat in silence for 20 minutes and then gently and very mindfully people went on with their evening in a beautifully resonant state. Indeed someone described the experience as "a vast interspace of beauty."
So for me this heralds a new approach starting in September, 45-minute Gong Bath meditations followed by silence, to encourage people not to engage too quickly with their busy minds.

A Listening Process?
I always feel encouraged by the presence of synchronicity in listening deeply to inner guidance, when 3 similar messages come together. Then it is up to the individual to take notice and create ways to translate the inner guidance into life's journey.
First for me, there is the calling to learn the Gayatri Mantra which, as a devotional sacred prayer, is believed to spiral through the Universe from the heart of the chanter, appealing for Peace and Divine Wisdom for all and, as I am getting more familiar with the Mantra, something is definitely transforming within. Thanks go to the wonderful Marnie Cameron of the Vault Wellbeing Centre for her recent inspiring workshop on the Gayatri Mantra The Vault Wellbeing Centre
Second, communing with the Universe with Gongs and Voice, contributes hugely in creating a new energetic environment for peaceful interaction.
Just need to do more of it.
Third, being inspired to read Leonard Bernstein's message "This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before".
Conclusion? We need to follow our Soul's longing. Mine is to Sing and Gong "Peace into the World".

Excess Baggage/The Message of Dragonfly
This is a photo taken of one of the many beautiful dragonflies at Dalya Life. Dragonfly's message is about "becoming who you are rather than who you think you are".
With no phone, no internet, no cooking etc husband Trevor and I soaked up all the healing energies of the sun and a wonderful group of like minded souls with Chris Sell and Carrie Harris at the Heart of Peace Week at Dalya Life Retreat Centre in Turkey. Links here: Chris Sell Dalya Life Turkey
A process of unplugging and letting go with inspiring evening meditations, nourishing food and Peace unfolded. Seemingly along with the accumulation of topping up my physical body with all this nourishment was the message that if we as humans are serious about healing Mother Earth, we have to be more committed to healing and strenghtening our earthly physical body. I think this is a case of the microcosm and the macrocosm. How can we expect Mother Earth to "heal" when our own eartly bodies are clogged and congested?
Sure enough on my return I weighed myself and nearly 2 kilos had crept up on me and I hadn't even taken notice. Challenge and feelings of excitement renewed and deepened a commitment to creating a more honed personal mind/body and the joyous feeling that, as I chip away at the "old heavy" me, I am contributing to something much greater than I
Hopefully we can all rejoice and enjoy taking part in stripping away at our individual and collective human heaviness and Blessing our Earthly Body as a part of Mother Earth.

Summer Growth of 2015
"Let Roses bloom and Love to grow in the garden of Our Heart"I remember writing these words years ago and not only are they fitting for this new beautiful rose picture taken by Trevor at Dalya Life Retreat Centre in Turkey a month ago, but the words are also so appropriate to what I feel is happening in the world around us, if only we can let ourselves see and feel the Love unfolding.
Have been off air blog wise for nearly 2 years but sometimes things take that long to integrate, so am going to enjoy the reunion with Blog rather than give myself a hard time. On the unfolding Love front I have been profoundly moved by Chloe Goodchild's 3 day workshop last weekend in Edinburgh. I have made a deep soul connection to Chloe's Singing Field "Out beyond ideas of right and wrond doing, There is a field, A singing field, I'll meet you there, I'll meet you there". I give thanks for all this.www.thenakedvoice.com

Becoming Visible
Becoming Visible hasn't just happened over night but has taken years, it's just the realisation that something so subtle has changed. The realisation happened after dyeing a pale pink dress which I never wore. I fancied orange to start with and, although I was pleased with the result, it didn't seem to reflect "me". I then added a soft red on top of the orange and that was it. I had found my empowering colour of ILLUMINATION.
"Red is the Spirit of Life. The Divine spark in our Soul. It is the inner fire that creates the first desire to "incarne" on this Earth in our body..now!" from "Accessing the Way of the Soul through Colour" by Terres Unsoeld, Fabien Maman and Patricia Janusz.
I feel as though I have come home to my Spirit of Life.

To All Our Relations
For my recent sound meditation at the Sound Lodge, I consciously connected with the Four Directions and Elements as usual and especially the Animal Kingdom. I have of late been noticing extra interest from our neigbourly cows, swallow population, a particular robin and various jackdaws. During the gonging part of the meditation our very timid rescue dog Millie let herself out of the house and uncharacteristically circled round and round the outside of the Sound Lodge, as if to take part in some way. One participant later reported that Millie had placed her paw on her heart as if to comfort her after the meditation had finished.
I didn't think too much about it at the time but that night I had a very profound and traumatic memory of when my first ever dog was run over when I was 9 years old and my nose mysteriously bled on the pillow. What am I saying here? I believe that Milly in all her great wisdom heard and responded the healing call of connection to the Animal Kingdom and played a vital role in the healing and release of doggy and human memory of trauma. Beautifully, the theme for the meditation was courage to release and forget.

Ready to Shine
Even though the last few months has been a time of inner reflection and restoration, there has been much going on, on other levels. I have had to concentrate on facilitating a specific nurturing "space" to encourage growth for myself and my family, and now the young shoots are visible and waiting for the sun to shine on them. Hoorah!
I feel there is almost a frenetic creative activity alongside the rush of Spring, as if it is all striving to arrive together, and I am grateful for the feeling of renewed energy and new horizons that this brings.
I welcome the new opportunities that have opened up as far as the Harmonsing Concerts for Peace are concerned and the "Hint of Fairy Magic" as part of Hexham Book Festival. I love the randomness of it all which is very far removed from my initial limiting ideas of how I wanted SoundTouch to unfold.
Within all if us is limitless freedom, if only we are open to it.

Meditation Brings Wisdom
I loved this quote.
"Meditation brings wisdom: lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads your forward, what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom. Meditate. Live purely. Be quiet. Do your work with mastery: like the moon, come out from behind the clouds, shine!"
Prince Siddharta Gaumtama (563-483BC) founder of Buddhism

Thanks and Gratitude for the promise of Spring and Self-Discovery
Thank you everyone who came to the Big Om event at the Queen’s Hall on 12.12.12 in contributing their beautiful presence and voices to the event. I feel we raised the roof, uplifted Hexham, uplifted Mother Earth and our own spirits!
Talking of lifting spirits, I have been hearing so much birdsong over the past few days and I feel encouraged and uplifted for what is for me, the promise of snowdrops and, just around the corner, Spring. Part of the promise is the colour of Spring Green and new life. In Tama-Do "Accessing the Way of the Soul through Colour." Spring Green represents childhood play and Spring and our newly adopted 12 week old puppy Moss reminds me of the joy and wonder of play and self discovery.
We have a number of events for self discovery in 2013 to bring harmony, healthy eating, vitality and Lightness of Being. At the heart of all of this creativity I like to weave my grounding system of the clear "undomesticated" energy through the teachings of Don Americo Yabar. It is so beautifully simple and so powerful and really does help to clear any "heavy" mental energy.- A great way to prepare for all that 2013 brings!
Sound, Colour and Movement Fri-Mon 23rd – 26th February, half day/full day explorations of Sound Colour and Movement with Carrie Mitchell (Tama-Do’s Academy First UK Instructor); final details TBC. http://www.tama-do.com/

Moment of Intent this Solstice
There has been so much prophesied and written and spoken about the times we are living in, this present moment in 2012. So much written and spoken that I have become quite confused and have to remind myself to KIS. Keep It Simple.
I would like to thank Oakley Gordon for the beautiful simplicity of his "Moment of Intent this Solstice".
http://salkawind.com/blog/archives/721
He gently recommends the following:
"Today, tomorrow, for the next few days. Sit down on the Pachamama, whether you can sit outside or on the floor of your house. Put your hands on the Pachamama. With your intent (sincere pretending) connect with her energy. Let your awareness flow into her. Connect with the flow of the change that is occurring. Become one with that flow."
This is when my heart sings in the beautiful simplicity of connecting with Pachmama.

12.12.12 The Big Om
I hear in my mind the words of the 70's song "what a difference a day makes" and that is what 12.12.12 is all about for me. When people come together in the spirit of co-operation to create their own sound of OM for peace, there is something far bigger than us going on. In the heavens extraordinary things are being orchestrated, only yesterday I witnessed an expanding spectrum of colour around the sun I have never seen before, and it was so wonderful I had to rub my eyes to see if I was imagining it.
I trust that everyone who is meant to come will come to the Queen's Hall on the day. Feel free to join-in with your own sound of 'Om' and let's see what a difference this day makes. http://www.queenshall.co.uk/whats-on/seasons-diary/653

On a mind/body/spirit level when we unite together with pure intent to make our sound for peace, each individual's unique vibrational frequency is raised and, as a consequence, that of the planet too.
The Mayan calendar speaks of a new cycle of evolution and 'Oneness' for Earth and Humanity on 12.12.12.
"Oneness" being the balance of masculine and feminine energies into "Divine Oneness". There are many global sound events planned for people to unite and focus using the ancient and sacred sound of "OM". Our 'Sound Lounge' explores and uplifts the senses through sound and vibration of the continuous resonant soundbath of Gongs, Tibetan Bowls, Vocal Harmonics and the sound of 'OM'.

Prayer for the Mighty Ash Trees and Appreciation of Beauty
In a bid to do something for the Ash trees, three of us went to our local woods and set up the intent to meditate and connect with the wonder, wisdom and splendour of the trees. It felt as though we had a window of sunshine to illuminate us whilst we drummed and sang very quietly and all the vibrations were captured in a beautiful bowl of water to create an essence for the trees. It felt that the more we ackowledged the strength and stillness of the trees, so we received their message and gifts to us and it really felt like a reciprocal relationship and a beginning of a deeper understanding.
I feel that if we can consciously connect with Nature, we open up more and more to opportunities for receving wisdom and healing, and sometimes even to receiving insights into many of our daily stresses and anxieties.

I love that, as we draw closer to the Winter Solstice, there is a sense of having completed a circle of creativity and exploration over the year. Now is the time to hibernate and go within ourselves to reflect and allow ourselves to feel a sense of achievement for the many things we have enjoyed in 2012.

"Cleaning our Windows of Perception" Part 2
![]() |
| What do you see? |
I was interested by a persons response to a photograph I used as a seasonal theme to advertise my Sound Meditation for All Hallows on 31st October. In Celtic tradition, this feast of Samhain marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter, "the darker half of the year." The person's response seemed to come from a place of fear and superstition and it reminded me of another conversation I had with someone who was terrifed to have any pictures, fabrics, hangings or feathers of peacocks in her house.
It is easy to engage in the emotion of fear and let our thoughts run away with us and create bigger "mountains out of molehills." based on our conditioning. My understanding is that these "mountains" make up a lot of our heavy mental energy and that whenever I feel heavy and need to transform it, ie."clean my windows" I go into Nature and with intent, connect.
For me this photo means more that a stone in a tree trunk, it is my way of appreciating and connecting with the rythmn, silence and beauty of Nature in all the splendour of the Autumn colours and light.

Equinox Sunrise, Courageous Dippers and Poem. Part 1
![]() |
| Now or Never |
Two weeks later Trevor hired a room at the Tynedside Cinema Newcastle to present his photos in a slide show to the intrepid dippers alongside a visual presentation of the amazing work MIND does. Fantastically about 40 people turned up for the slide show and my contribution was joyfully reading a poem written by one of the dippers.
Here is part of the poem "Life affirming morning at Druridge Bay" by Alan White
"Cloaked conspirators roam in the gloom,
Making their way to the surf's distant boom.
Coughing and laughing, sniffling and snuffling,
Fumbling and tumbling, stumbling and grumbling,
Eventually all locating the breach
And that's how the dippers descend to the beach.
We're here far too early. The sand feels too frigid.
We stand here much longer; we'll freeze till we're rigid.
There's no point in arms folded under your bust;
The cold will still get you. Oh well, if you must!
Veteran skinnies remain fairly calm;
They know it will do bits and pieces no harm.
But most stand or shuffle in some agitation
Because we are dreading the great revelation,
Because we all know in the depths of our hearts
It's wrong to exhibit our most private parts.
A diversion, form lines to make up a tally.
At this people start to get giggly and pally.
She enjoys a wonderful sixtieth party
With huge crowd of nudists, healthy and hearty.
The previous day marked my seventy first year,
And your splendid event gave me something to cheer.
A creature died in our field last night.
It wasn't me."

Gong Dog Konnie and Healing Sounds Part 1

| Gong Konnie |
I remind myself of the wonderful and running free "Wild Wolf" nature of Konnie dog when she was so tragically killed in her prime last April, in contrast to the misery of her sad start in life. We have come a long way together from when I first took her on as a very wounded dog from the RSPCA. We taught each other so much, for me there was something wonderful about her motherliness, her strength and her wisdom.
.
Konnie loved to lie under the gongs whilst I played and would even lie alongside a client during a sound healing session, being very present and comforting for them and I know she received a lot of healing for herself from the gongs. My Solar System Gongs are tuned to the frequencies of the Sun, Moon and Earth, providing a holistic resonance of celestial harmonies. "May the entire Solar System be your true self" Gong Master Don Conreaux www.holisticresonance.com Konnie died being her true self. A real lone wolf.

Windows of Perception Part 1
I have received much inspiration from my wonderful wise friend Carolan this week. We have both shared many experiences over the years with Peruvian mentor, Don Américo Yabar. One of his sayings is that “we need to clean the windows of our perception” and this weekend I started to widen my perception and could see amongst all the wonderful participants on the course the strong emotional impact that working with animals (and sometimes their misguided owners) can have.
For me "cleaning the windows" is partly about clearing ourselves from the influence of our personal "heavy energy" which can limit and cloud our view on life. The Salk'a energy is the undomesticated energy of the Cosmos and in simple movements with intent we can connect and clear ourselves of the heavy personal energy. SO my personal mantra is Think Salk'a!!
