Becoming Visible

Becoming Visible hasn't just happened over night but has taken years, it's just the realisation that something so subtle has changed. The realisation happened after dyeing a pale pink dress which I never wore. I fancied orange to start with and, although I was pleased with the result, it didn't seem to reflect "me". I then added a soft red on top of the orange and that was it. I had found my empowering colour of ILLUMINATION. "Red is the Spirit of Life. The Divine spark in our Soul. It is the inner fire that creates the first desire to "incarne" on this Earth in our body..now!" from "Accessing the Way of the Soul through Colour" by Terres Unsoeld, Fabien Maman and Patricia Janusz. I feel as though I have come home to my Spirit of Life.

To All Our Relations

For my recent sound meditation at the Sound Lodge, I consciously connected with the Four Directions and Elements as usual and especially the Animal Kingdom. I have of late been noticing extra interest from our neigbourly cows, swallow population, a particular robin and various jackdaws. During the gonging part of the meditation our very timid rescue dog Millie let herself out of the house and uncharacteristically circled round and round the outside of the Sound Lodge, as if to take part in some way. One participant later reported that Millie had placed her paw on her heart as if to comfort her after the meditation had finished. I didn't think too much about it at the time but that night I had a very profound and traumatic memory of when my first ever dog was run over when I was 9 years old and my nose mysteriously bled on the pillow. What am I saying here? I believe that Milly in all her great wisdom heard and responded the healing call of connection to the Animal Kingdom and played a vital role in the healing and release of doggy and human memory of trauma. Beautifully, the theme for the meditation was courage to release and forget.

Ready to Shine

Even though the last few months has been a time of inner reflection and restoration, there has been much going on, on other levels.  I have had to concentrate on facilitating a specific nurturing "space" to encourage growth for myself and my family, and now the young shoots are visible and waiting for the sun to shine on them. Hoorah!

I feel there is almost a  frenetic creative activity alongside the rush of Spring, as if it is all striving to arrive together, and I am grateful for the feeling of renewed energy and new horizons that this brings.

I welcome the new opportunities that have opened up as far as the Harmonsing Concerts for Peace are concerned and the "Hint of Fairy Magic" as part of Hexham Book Festival.  I love the randomness of it all which is very far removed from my initial limiting ideas of how I wanted SoundTouch to unfold.

Within all if us is limitless freedom, if only we are open to it.

Meditation Brings Wisdom

I loved this quote.

"Meditation brings wisdom: lack of meditation leaves ignorance.  Know well what leads your forward, what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom.  Meditate. Live purely.  Be quiet.  Do your work with mastery:  like the moon, come out from behind the clouds, shine!"

Thanks and Gratitude for the promise of Spring and Self-Discovery

Thank you everyone who came to the Big Om event at the Queen’s Hall on 12.12.12 in contributing their beautiful presence and voices to the event.  I feel we raised the roof, uplifted Hexham, uplifted Mother Earth and our own spirits!

Talking of lifting spirits, I have been hearing so much birdsong over the past few days and I feel encouraged and uplifted for what is for me, the promise of snowdrops and, just around the corner, Spring. Part of the promise is the colour of Spring Green and new life.  In Tama-Do "Accessing the Way of the Soul through Colour." Spring Green represents childhood play and Spring and our newly adopted 12 week old puppy Moss reminds me of the joy and wonder of play and self discovery.

We have a number of events for self discovery in  2013 to bring harmony, healthy eating, vitality and Lightness of Being. At the heart of all of this creativity I like to weave my grounding system of the clear "undomesticated" energy through the teachings of Don Americo Yabar. It is so beautifully simple and so powerful and really does help to clear any "heavy" mental energy.- A great way to prepare for all that 2013 brings!
